Burnley beat Arsenal 2-0 in Carling Cup
Burnley produced another shock result in the Carling Cup last night beating Arsenal 2-0 at Turf Moor. The Championship side beat Chelsea on penalties last month and are now through to a cup semi-final for the first time in 25 years.
While Arsene Wenger again stuck to his policy of playing the Gunners' teenage stars it was the same line-up which had easily beaten Sheffield United and Wigan to progress to the Carling Cup quarter-finals.
But Burnley were not as easily turned over. Clarets' keeper Brian Jensen produced a string of excellent saves to keep Arsenal at bay while Kevin McDonald scored twice to produce another shock win.
