Blackpool lose Harewood for six weeks

Blackpool striker Marlon Harewood could be out for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury picked up in training.

Tangerines’ manager Ian Holloway accepted blame for the injury: ‘I wanted it to be competitive at the end of training and it went on too long. It was my fault.’

Holloway continued: ‘I'm in the doghouse from the physio. How long is Marlon likely to be out for? Five or six weeks.’

Harewood himself gave more details on how he sustained the injury: ‘We were doing sprints and I tore my hamstring. I can't believe it as I was feeling good and thought I was playing well.’

‘I'm not a happy man at the moment but I'll keep going and hopefully I'll be back before too long.’
