Beckham wants to join Milan permanently
David Beckham has admitted that he wants to join AC Milan permanently after impressing during his loan move. The former England captain's lawyers have been in contact with the LA Galaxy to open negotiations about getting out of his current deal with the MLS side.
Speaking after Milan's 2-2 draw with Rangers on Tuesday Becks told reporters that he wants to end his career in Serie A: "My intention is to stay in Milan and I hope that can happen,. At the moment the club wanted to know if I wanted to stay and now they know that," he said. "The length of the deal will be discussed once we know it is possible. I have a contract until March, so we have got time. I didn't expect to enjoy things as much as I have done, and to play every week. My main objective now is to stay at this club; I enjoy playing at this level."
The LA Galaxy are yet to release a statement following Beckham's outburst and it is not clear if the MLS team are willing to let the former Real Madrid midfielder leave. With the transfer window now closed, Goldenballs may have to wait until June before putting pen to paper on a permanent contract.
