Beckham makes AC Milan début

David Beckham made his AC Milan début today in a friendly against Hamburg in Dubai. The 32-year-old lined out in midfield alongside Italian internationals Andrea Pirlo and Massimo Ambrosini as well as Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho.

The former England captain played 45 minutes of the 1-1 draw before being replaced by former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini. Milan eventually won the game 4-3 on penalties.

Becks could be set to make his first appearance in Serie A on Sunday against Roma, as Italy's top flight resumes following the winter break. The LA Galaxy midfielder has signed a two-month loan deal with the Rossoneri.
