Aston Villa beat Everton 3-2 at Goodison Park
Aston Villa beat Everton 3-2 at Goodison Park to keep up the pressure on Arsenal for fourth place in the Premier League. Steve Sidwell put Villa ahead after 34 seconds with a 20-yard thunderbolt before the Toffees equalized through Joleon Lescott.
Everton defender Phil Jagielka handed the lead back to Aston Villa when he gave the ball away to Ashley Young who beat Tim Howard to score. Lescott sent the home fans wild in injury time when he looked to have earned a point for David Moyes' side with his second of the game.
But Ashley Young broke Everton hearts when he scored just seconds after Lescott's equaliser to steal the three points for Martin O'Neill's side. It was a tough end to a pulsating game for David Moyes and his players.
