Arsenal take on Roma in the Champions League

Arsenal's young guns take on Roma tonight at the Emirates in the first leg of their last-16 tie of the Champions League. Arsene Wenger will be hoping that his young team can put their stuttering league form behind them and produce a convincing win ahead of the return leg in Rome in two-weeks time.

The Gunners will be without their record signing Andrei Arshavin who is cup tied so Wenger will be looking to midfielders Abou Diaby and Denilson to deliver on their potential against a Roma midfield which will feature Italian international Daniele De Rossi.

Roma could be missing their talismanic captain Francesco Totti who limped out of training last night. The giallorossi suffered another major injury setback when right-back Cicinho picked up a knee injury at the Emirates.

But on the plus side for Roma manager Luciano Spalletti, Montenegro striker Mirko Vucinic and Brazilian centre-back Juan have both recovered from injury and should take some part in tonight's match.
