Arsenal suffer Nasri injury blow

Arsenal's pre-season preparations suffered a hammer blow this afternoon when Samir Nasri fractured his right leg. The French midfielder suffered the injury during the Gunners' tour of Austria and will be out for at least two months.

The loss of the 22-year-old is a huge blow for Arsene Wenger's plans for the coming season. The midfielder was one of Arsenal's most consistent players last season during his first year in the Premier League following a move from Marseille last summer.

On a positive note Tomas Rosicky's return to fitness could help to plug the gap left by Nasri's injury. The Czech international has missed 18 months of football with a persistent tendon injury but lined out for Arsenal against Barnet last week.
