Arsenal's absentee list looks to have got even longer with the news that Robin van Persie picked up a groin injury during Holland's 3-0 victory over Scotland on Saturday night.
The striker has been crucial to the Gunners stuttering campaign this season coming up with 17 goals so far. With Emmanuel Adebayor and Eduardo still recovering from injury, Arsene Wenger will be forced to play the misfiring Niklas Bendtner up front.
In more bad news for Gunners fans, Van Persie has hinted that he could leave the Emirates if Arsenal again fail to pick up silverware this season: "In the last four years, I’ve only won one prize, the FA Cup — and that is too little. I want to push through to achieve more. That is something I feel in my mind and my body."
