Arsenal draw 0-0 with Fenerbahce in the Champions League
Arsenal's bad run of form continued last night with a frustrating 0-0 home draw with Fenerbahce in the Champions League. Arsene Wenger's team drew with Spurs last week, lost to Stoke at the weekend and were toothless in attack last night against the Turkish Champions.
The Gunners' injury list continues to get longer with Mikaël Silvestre going off with a suspected broken nose following a clash with Fenerbahce captain Semih Senturk, while goalkeeper Manuel Almunia missed the game with stomach bug.
Arsenal take on Manchester United on Saturday with Robin van Persie banned and Adebayor out injured for at least three weeks. Midfielder Cesc Fábregas has underlined the importance of the United game as a chance to kick-start the Gunners' misfiring season: "We don't want excuses. If we don't play well then there are players who want to wear the shirt instead of us. We have to keep going and the United game is massive."
