Arsenal beat Manchester City 2-0 this afternoon at the Emirates Stadium thanks to a brace from Emmanuel Adebayor. The Togo striker was back in the Gunners' line-up for the first time since February and did his best to make up for lost time.
Despite beating Arsenal at Eastlands back in November, City struggled to match Arsene Wenger's side who were anchored in midfield by their returning captain and talisman Cesc Fabregas.
The result cements Arsenal's fourth place spot in the Premier League and they now look set to qualify for next season's Champions League ahead of Aston Villa. But the return of Adebayor and Fabregas ahead of Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final will be a huge boost for Gunners fans.
