Arsenal and Spurs draw 4-4 in North London derby
Arsenal and Spurs drew 4-4 last night in a classic North London derby. Spurs' came from 4-2 down with two minutes to go to grab a dramatic late equaliser through Aaron Lennon.
Despite still occupying the bottom spot in the Premier League new Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has hailed the result as turning point in the club's season. 'It's going to be a long season, but there was a great atmosphere in that dressing room now,' Redknapp told reporters.
David Bentley opened the scoring with a spectacular 40-yard volley against his former club before Arsenal took control of the game. Spurs' keeper Gomes again looked suspect and was at fault for at least two of the Gunners' goals.
But Redknapp has already instilled a sense of belief in his players who never gave up last night and were rewarded for their perseverance right at the death.
