Thinking of joining the Annaghdown Golf Society?

Now over a decade old, the Annaghdown Golf Society goes from strength to strength and has now grown to over 150 members. If you are interested in golf and in the vicinity of the Society, here are your current options for joining.

The society is located in the picturesque village of Annaghdown in County Galway in the Republic of Ireland. This puts it in close proximity to numerous world class golf courses. So if you live on the west coast of Ireland, this society could be the one for you to join. Alternatively, with easy access from Dublin, members from further afield are also welcome.

Members must be aged over 18, though a junior membership is available for those aged over 16. Unlike some more restrictive golf societies, Annaghdown does not require a minimum golf handicap in order to join, making this society suitable for golfers at many different levels of skill and experience. You don't have to be Tiger Woods to fit in at this inclusive society.

The society offers frequent days out to golf courses, and organises annual awards for the player with the best average handicap, as well as a Captain's Prize tournament held once a year. A continuous leader board is kept updated throughout the year to see how you are doing in relation to others. Previous outings to golf courses have been held at the likes of Cregmore, Mountbellow, Ballinrobe, Galway Bay and Barna Golf clubs. Outings generally take place from 9 in the morning on weekends, and take place roughly once a month in the summer.
