Andy Goode to start at out-half for England
Andy Goode has been chosen at out-half for England's 6 Nations opener against Italy at Twickenham on Saturday. The 28-year-old is a surprise pick, but is in red hot form with the boot for French club side Brive this season.
Goode's promotion sees Danny Cipriani dropped to the England Saxons side which will face Ireland A on Friday night. Cipriani's demotion is further evidence of the Wasps number 10's failure to regain his form since returning from an ankle injury.
London Irish flanker Steffon Armitage will make his debut on Saturday in a team which shows five changes from the side that was thumped by New Zealand in November. Mike Tindall and Mark Cueto return in the backs while prop Andrew Sheridan has also made the cut.
