Andrew Flintoff has turned down a contract from the England and Wales Cricket board because it wouldn’t allow him to go bungee-jumping.
The board offered him an incremental contract, but his agent Andrew Chandler told The Guardian that he turned it down not because of greed, but be he wanted to get involved in extreme sports that weirdos like to do for a reality TV show. Unsurprisingly this might cause conflict with the cricket authorities.
‘I've seen reports he's a mercenary – he's nothing of the sort,’ Chandler said. "There were one or two things in it that made it difficult to sign. Like he wouldn't be allowed to participate in dangerous sports and he's possibly doing a television series in which he may do bungee-jumping.’
